We are out...
We are all moved out! Literally we put our plants in the back of the truck, made some touch ups in our paint job, and I mopped my way right out the back door. Dave and I have to go back tomorrow for our tools in the laundry room and take the food out of the fridge (which is not very full from a summer of traveling!) Here are some funny pictures of the boys last Sunday picking up the furniture and loading it into the trailer.
Speaking of the trailer they almost died on the freeway driving up to Pedro. The trailer came off the hitch going 55 on the freeway. Thankfully the safety chains held, and Dave was paying attention. In the process of slowing down and stopping the trailer it crashed into Dave's bumper three times, puncturing 2 big holes underneath it. So they were the annoying people that made the cop car swoop back and forth and stop traffic. I am just glad they were safe (and we didnt lose any furniture!)
Thank you San Pedro.
Thanks for Sandwhich Saloon and job for the last two years.
Thank you for our own place
Thank you for cool evening breezes and a little baby garden.
Our little love shack.
We will miss you

Saying goodbye
We are almost packed up. Nowhere to go. Just Kidding. We are going to be housemates with Dave's brother and sister in law, and his parents. Just for a few weeks until we can move into our house and our lease is ending on September 1. We are still waiting for escrow to close, but there is nothing that we can do about it now but wait on a few more answers... its a long story. I would rather explain the final details. It will have a good ending.
I realized today there are a few things I will miss about this place. Like the following babies that I have been taking care of for the last two years. They were sick and dying and now they are happy. The purple flower is a honeysuckle hybrid and the roses are of an unknown origin. Mr. Tomato is coming with me (he's in a pot, I grew him from a seed!)
Thanks Pop and Mom for passing down the green thumb.

introducing...
We haven't closed escrow yet (long story that I will tell when we have the keys in hand)
I just got back from a vacation with my sisters, cousins, and moms. (more pictures later)
But we picked out our puppy.
Meet fill in the blank (we haven't named him yet) We didn't know he was ours until he bit my nose. He is buff (his grandpa weighs almost 160 pounds) Yay! for our first baby.

a gentle reminder...
I love the way God works. My sister text messages me a bible verse this morning. The exact bible verse that I needed to hear. Especially after my little hissy fit that I threw yesterday when Dave told me that we needed every single penny we own for our down payment, plus some that we don't have...
I know God wants us to have this house.
I know he provides.
I just like to have things my way and have a really hard time when I can't see the forest through the trees.
Matthew 7:24-25 (New International Version)
24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."
My husband doesn't struggle with that like I do. I am so thankful that he is so steady. Especially on days when I get angry and cry on the phone with him on my way to cheer practice. He tells me he loves me (which is sweet and alternately irritating and makes me want to rip out my hands free headset!) That he can sleep like a bear while I stay awake until 3 in the morning reading a book and eating tortilla chips in bed because I cant sleep but I want to be next to him because its comforting.
I can't wait to move into my new house. After all of this, we were approved yesterday provided we meet a few requirements. Like signing over our firstborn child and our free time for the next few years.
The rains come and go. In California we have earthquakes too. But our house stands firm.
Sure glad that its not built upon my strength.
